Turkish university admission runs through the YKS exam — a Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) plus Field Proficiency Tests (AYT) — administered by ÖSYM every June. After results in July, candidates rank their preferred programs in a national preference (tercih) period before final placements are announced in August or September.
