LASU Part Time Entrance Exam Past Question PDF Download 2026

Getting the form for the LASU School of Part-Time Studies is the easy part. The entrance examination is where the real filtering happens, and a surprising number of working professionals treat it casually because they already hold O'Level credits, an OND or years of work experience.

If you have been searching for lasu part time entrance exam past question pdf or lasu school of part time studies entrance exam material, you have already sensed what experienced candidates know. The people who get in are usually the ones who saw the style of the questions before they sat the paper.

He Nearly Lost His Slot Over a Test He Thought Was Easy

Picture Kunle, a bank clerk in Lagos who has wanted a degree for years. He buys the form, uploads his documents and receives an exam date. Because he reads and writes English every day at work, he decides he does not need to prepare.

On the day, he meets a computer-based paper with a running clock. Some questions are straightforward. Others are worded in ways he has never practised, and he spends too long on the early ones. By the time he reaches the last section he is guessing.

A colleague who applied in the same batch spent two weeks answering repeated questions under a timer. He arrives calm, recognises many question types and finishes with time to review. Both men are intelligent and both have work experience. Only one prepared for the exam itself.

Kunle is an illustration, but the situation is common. Get 1299+ Most Repeated LASU Part Time (SPTS) Entrance Exam Questions Here

When Is the LASU School of Part Time Studies (SPTS) Entrance Exam?

LASU has announced that the first batch of the 2026/2027 part-time degree entrance examination and screening will hold on Saturday, November 14, 2026. Candidates who applied are advised to note the date and prepare ahead.

Past LASU notices show the exam is computer based and held at the LASU CBT Centre, Main Campus, Ojo. LASU admits in batches, so if your application was submitted later, you may be scheduled for a later batch. Check your exam slip for your exact date, time and venue. Download the LASU Part Time SPTS Entrance Exam Past Questions PDF so your preparation starts today instead of the night before.

What Is the LASU Part Time Entrance Exam Like?

The notices I found confirm that candidates are invited for an entrance examination and screening after submitting the online form and credentials. They do not publish a detailed subject list, which is exactly why past questions matter. Without them, you are guessing what to revise.

Sensible preparation covers English Language, basic numeracy and general knowledge, plus the fundamentals of the course you applied for. Practise on a screen with a timer, because the paper rewards speed and accuracy together.

Do I Need JAMB for Part-Time School?

This is one of the most asked questions, and sources disagree. LASU's own announcements list only two basic requirements: you must be at least 18 years old and hold five O'Level credits, after which you are invited for an entrance examination. Some older guides say JAMB is not required for LASU part-time, while one third-party site for 2026/2027 reports a minimum UTME score of 180.

Until LASU's current admission notice says otherwise, treat the entrance exam as your main gate. Check the requirements for your specific course on the LASU website before you apply.

How Can I Get Part-Time Admission in LASU?

The process runs in stages: apply and pay the application fee, print your form, sit the entrance exam and screening, check your admission status, then pay your acceptance fee and complete registration. Most people focus on the paperwork and forget the stage that decides everything.

Admission is based on merit and available quota, so your entrance exam score matters. Spend more of your time there than on any other step. Get the 1299+ Most Repeated LASU Part Time Entrance Exam Questions Here

LASU Part-Time Form 2026/2027: Is It Out?

Yes. LASU opened the School of Part-Time Studies admission process for the 2026/2027 session on September 1, 2026. Applicants submit the form online, upload their credentials and wait for an invitation to the entrance exam. The application window has historically run for six weeks from the date of publication, and the entrance exam batches follow.

Reported application fees vary. Earlier and third-party reports show N20,000, while LASU's own part-time page lists N10,000. Confirm the figure on the official LASU e-payment page before paying.

How Much Are LASU Fees for Part-Time? (School Fees and Per Semester)

LASU's part-time page lists a tuition fee of N350,000. The page I saw did not break this down per semester, so confirm whether it is paid per session or in installments before you plan your budget. Reported charges once admission is offered include an acceptance fee of N30,000 and a medical fee of N30,000.

LASU also works with other fees such as departmental or registration charges, which can change between sessions. Ask your department or check the official notice for the full schedule.

How Many Years Is LASU Part-Time?

Reported duration is five years for UTME-route candidates and four years for Direct Entry candidates, with classes designed around working schedules. Part-time programmes in Nigeria generally run at least a year longer than the full-time equivalent, which is why the timeline is longer.

What Are the Part-Time Courses Offered in LASU?

LASU's School of Part-Time Studies lists these programmes for 2026/2027:

• Accounting
• Banking and Finance
• Business Administration
• Computer Science
• Economics
• English Language
• History and International Studies
• Industrial Relations and Personnel Management
• Marketing
• Mass Communication
• Music
• Peace Studies
• Political Science
• Public Administration
• Psychology
• Sociology
• Yoruba Communication Arts

Offerings vary between sessions. Earlier lists included programmes such as Philosophy and Physics, so check the current notice for the programme you want.

Can I Apply Through Direct Entry?

Yes. Candidates with an OND from a government-approved polytechnic, or a LASU diploma with an Upper Credit in a relevant course, who also hold the required five O'Level credits, are eligible for Direct Entry. Direct Entry candidates also sit the entrance examination, so they need the same preparation as everyone else.

How to Prepare for the LASU Part Time Entrance Exam

I always tell candidates to prepare in three steps:

• Start early: give yourself at least two weeks of daily practice, not one weekend
• Practise on a screen: use timed sessions so the pace feels normal on the day
• Review mistakes: write down every question you miss and revisit it until you can explain the answer

Add basic revision of English grammar, numeracy and the fundamentals of your chosen course, and you will be preparing for the real paper, not an imaginary one.
