ABSU JUPEB Form 2026/2027 is Out

Abia State University, popularly known as ABSU, has opened applications for its JUPEB Programme, alongside its Pre-Degree and Remedial Studies options, for the 2026/2027 academic session. This is a genuine no-JAMB route into 200 level for candidates who already hold their O'Level qualifications.

Does ABSU Accept JUPEB?

Yes. ABSU runs its own JUPEB centre, admitting candidates directly into the one-year programme, which prepares them for the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board examination. A pass in JUPEB qualifies successful candidates for consideration for Direct Entry admission into 200 level, without needing to sit for JAMB.

Is ABSU Form Still on Sale?

How Many Years Does the JUPEB Result Last?

JUPEB results are generally treated as valid for the purpose of Direct Entry admission for the admission cycle immediately following your pass, similar to how a JAMB UTME score is typically used within its year of validity for Direct Entry consideration. Specific policies can vary slightly by receiving institution, so confirm how your specific result will be treated by your intended university here if you are planning to use it beyond the immediate next admission cycle.

What Is the ABSU Screening Test Like?

Every candidate applying for the ABSU JUPEB programme is required to sit a qualifying/screening test as part of the admission process. This is separate from the JUPEB examination itself, which comes at the end of the full one-year programme, and instead serves as an entry gate into the programme itself.

Does ABSU Have Any Other Admission Route Besides JUPEB?

Yes. Beyond JUPEB, ABSU also runs standard Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening for regular UTME candidates, as well as periodic supplementary admission windows for candidates yet to secure a slot through the main exercise.
