    How to calculate LASU aggregate score 2026

    Lagos State University (LASU) uses only your JAMB and O'Level results – no written Post-UTME. The formula is:

    1. JAMB contribution (60%) = JAMB score × 0.15 (max 60). Example: 280 × 0.15 = 42.
    2. O'Level contribution (40%) = sum of points from your best five relevant subjects on LASU's new scale:
      A1=8, B2=7, B3=6, C4=5, C5=4, C6=3. Lower grades = 0.
    3. Two‑sitting deduction: If you combine two results (e.g., WAEC + NECO), deduct 0.3 marks from the total O'Level sum for each subject taken from the second sitting that appears in your best five.
    4. Total aggregate = JAMB contribution + (O'Level sum – deduction).

    Example (one sitting): JAMB 280 → 42. O'Level: A1, B2, B3, C4, C5 → 8+7+6+5+4 = 30. Aggregate = 72.0.

    Example (two sittings with 3 subjects from second sitting): Same grades but 3 subjects from sitting 2 → deduction 0.9 → O'Level = 29.1 → aggregate = 71.1.

    LASU aggregate for medicine and surgery usually requires 75%+; LASU aggregate for nursing typically 70%+.
