A small bedroom becomes stressful when the layout blocks walking space. The easiest layout idea is to place the bed in the most stable spot, usually against the longest wall, and keep a clear path from the door to the bed. If the bed is in the center, keep both sides narrow but usable, so the room feels balanced. If the room is very tight, push the bed to one side and leave one wider walkway instead of two tiny walkways, because one good walkway feels better than two cramped ones. When the bed is placed correctly, the room instantly feels bigger because your eyes see open floor space and clean lines, not furniture blocking movement.
A simple example is this: if your door opens into the bed area, move the bed slightly to free the door swing area and keep the floor open near the entrance. That small change makes the room feel less crowded.
